pay for sb即替sb付钱
pay for sth 即付钱买sth
spend ...doing sth 中间的...一般是加时间,即花了多少时间做sth
spend ...on sth 中间一般即刻加时间也可加钱等.为了sth 用了多少时间,或者钱
pay用于付钱时，pay for sb./sth.(替sb/sth付钱)
spend ... doing/on sth(花了多少时间做某事/花了多少时间在某事上)
区别spend, cost, take, pay和pay for
（1）spend的主语必须是“人”，宾语可以是钱、精力、时间等，其后用on (for) + 名词或用in（可省略）+ 动名词形式，不接不定式。如：
He spent a lot of money for this new car.他花了很多钱买了这辆新车。
（2）He spends much money on...
sb pay+钱+for sth
sb spend+钱/时间 (on) doing sth
