Jamie于1988年11月22号出生于英国伦敦。母亲为音乐指导，父亲为吉他公司的管理人员。在求学改扰期间Jamie参加了国家青少年音乐剧洞此院的演出。
Jamie开始涉足戏剧圈是在2007年，当时他的朋友Laura Michelle Kelly正在演出<Sweeney Todd>，Laura向导演推荐了Jamie。这也成为Jamie在荧幕上的处女作。同年，Jamie还客串了电视剧<The Dinner Party>
