很多时候，在句子里面，theirs可以换成their+名词。
1. their： /ðeə(r)/；
pron. 他们的，她们的；它们的。
在句子里面作定语，修饰名词，相当于形容词。
举例：
Their relationship flowered.
他们的关系变得更好了。
Their friends suggested they should put up their prices.
他们的朋友们建议他们提高价格。
Their 岩橡昌success is due to their determination.
他们的成功应归功粗扒于他们的决心。
2. theirs，/ðeəz/ ；
pron. 他们的，她们的，它们的。
在句子里面可以作主语、宾语、表语、同位语、宾语补足语等等。相当于名词。
举例：
It's a favourite game of theirs. （theirs=their game）
这是他们最喜爱的游戏。
Our children go to the same school as theirs. 如锋 （theirs=their children）
我们的孩子和他们的孩子上同一所学校。
The carrots are theirs. （theirs=their carrots）
胡萝卜是他们的。
Those balls aren't theirs. （theirs=their balls）
那些球不是他们的。
